Our paraeducator program prepares students for careers working alongside teachers in preschool through Grade 12 classrooms. It is also a pathway to studies in teacher education.

Graduates with the Associate in Applied Science-Transfer (AAS-T) Degree in Paraeducation can apply to university education programs.
There are no prerequisites for entering the Early Paraeducation program.
An initial certificate can be earned in two quarters (21 credits). The state credential takes about one year of full-time study (46 credits). The associate's degree option requires about two years (91 credits).

About the Program
The program combines college-level classroom instruction with practicums in public school settings to make sure that graduates are fully prepared for the diverse set of roles carried out by paraeducators in elementary, middle, and high schools.
Classes are offered days, evenings, Saturdays, and online to accommodate busy students.
